The DP63300-TC thermocouplemeter accepts inputs from standardthermocouples and preciselylinearizes them. A full 4-digit displayaccommodates a wide range oftemperature inputs. The unitautomatically compensates for coldjunction, NBS linearity and themeter’s zero and span.
The meter features a readout choiceof either Fahrenheit or Celsius with0.1 or 1° resolution. Display promptsand front panel buttons aid theoperator through set-up andoperation. With a few simple stepsthe unit can be used as a millivoltmeter. This mode is useful inmonitoring and displaying the actualvoltage produced at thethermocouple probe junction and asan aid in troubleshooting for a faultythermocouple probe.
The meter provides a peak “HI” andvalley “LO” reading memory withselectable capture delay time. Thecapture delay is used to preventdetection of false peak or valleyreadings that may occur duringstart-up or unusual process events.The peak and valley readings arestored at power-down so thatprocess limits can be monitoredover any length of time.Programmable digital filteringenhances the stability of thereading.
All setup data is stored in E2PROM,which will hold data for a minimumof 10 years without power. Themeter has several built-in diagnosticfunctions to alert operators of anymalfunction. Extensive testing ofnoise interference mechanisms andfull burn-in makes the indicatorextremely reliable in industrialenvironments. The front bezel meetsNEMA 4X (IP65) requirements forwash-down applications.
