THERMOCOUPLE CONNECTIONS
Simulating or readingthermocouples requiresthe use of thermocoupleor extension gradethermocouple wire.Plug thermocouple wires intothe miniature thermocouplejack or place barethermocouple wiresonto the brass block underthe screws.

The CL543B has two bananajacks (1+ and 2-) mounted inthe top end of the housing.These are not temperaturecompensated and are to beused only for millivolt signals.

RTD CONNECTIONS
Simulating or reading RTDsuses copper wire. Plug 2-, 3- or4-wires into the correspondingjacks on the calibrator. For RTDsource the CL543B simulates the(+) RTD from jacks 1 and 4 andthe (-) RTD from jacks 2 and 3.When reading an RTD sensorthe CL543B uses patentedcircuitry to automatically detectsif 2-, 3- or 4-wires are connected.This is helpful to troubleshootsensor connections.
