The OM-EL-USB-TC-LCD data logger measures andstores up to 32,510 temperature readings from either aType J, K or T thermocouple which plugs into aminiature female thermocouple receptacle at the baseof the unit. The data logger plugs directly into a PC’s USB port, noUSB cable is required. Three different functions areavailable on the display, most recent loggedtemperature, maximum logged temperature andminimum logged temperature.
The push button on the data logger is used to cyclethrough these functions. Data logger logging and alarmstatus is indicated by flashing red and green LEDs.Using the included Windows software, the user caneasily set up the initial data logging parametersincluding thermocouple type, logging rate, start-time,high/low alarm settings, logging mode and desiredtemperature units (°C or °F), select the display modewhich includes display off, on for 30 seconds afterbutton press, or permanently on, data rollover (allowsunlimited logging periods by overwriting the oldestdata when the memory is full) and also download thestored data. The downloaded data can then begraphed, printed and exported to other applicationssuch as Excel.
