Description

The CN8500 Series temperaturecontroller is versatile anduser-friendly. The operator needs toreview only those parametersrelevant to the particular application.A dual digital display offers optimalprocess information at a glance.The dedicated upper display showsthe process temperature, while thelower display displays setpoint andsetup parameters. Individual LEDs identify the status outputs, alarms,digital communications, and specialoptions. The CN8500 Seriesfeatures a NEMA 4X front panel anda universal power supply thataccepts 103 to 253 Vac and103 to 330 Vdc.Control algorithms available are P,PI, PD, PID, and on/off. Theautotune feature automatically setsproportional band, rate, and resetbefore the process reachessetpoint. These parameters providequick stabilization of both theheating and cooling process withoutovershoot, hunting, or cycling. Thestandard dual control outputs canbe configured in a variety of controland alarm applications such asheat, heat/cool, heat/alarm, cool, orcool/alarm. The ramp-to-setpointfeature allows the user to define therate of rise to reach the setpoint,thus minimizing thermal shock tothe load during start-up.
