Description

The OME-DB-889D is an expansionmultiplexer/amplifier board for usewith OME-PCI-1800 series families.Each OME-DB-889D multiplexes16 differential analog input channelsinto one analog input of theDAS board. The high gradeinstrumentation amplifier providessoftware programmable gains of0.5 , 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 500 and 1000.Thermocouple measurementsare handled easily with theOME-DB-889D. The board includescold-junction sensing andcompensation circuitry that providesa scaling of 24.4 mV/°C. Biasingresistors are included for openthermocouple detection. TheOME-DB-889D can be cascaded toa total of 128 channels of voltagemeasurements or 112 channels ofthermocouple measurement.

The OME-DB-889D has two 37-pinD-sub connectors and two 20-pinheaders. One D-sub connector getsconnected to the A/D board’sanalog input connector while theother D-sub connector can beused to cascade to anotherOME-DB-889D multiplexer.The 20-pin header is themultiplexer’s control logic circuit.One of the 20-pin headers isconnected to the A/D board'sdigital output port via 20-pin flatcable. The other 20-pin header isused to cascade to anotherOME-DB-889D multiplexer.
