The OMB-DBK30Arechargeable nickel-cadmiumbattery/excitation module enablestrodeks’s
OMB-LOGBOOK andOMB-DAQBOOK-2000 Seriesacquisition systems to be usedin remote or portable applications.Housed in a metal enclosure of thesame size as these portable dataacquisition systems, the unitincludes durable, Velcro-styletabs for easy attachment underthese units.
The OMB-DBK30A has two operatingmodes. In one mode, it provides a14 Vdc output capable of operatingone of the above-mentioned systemsfor three to six hours. In the second mode, it provides anadditional 28 Vdc output, referencedto system common, that can beused to provide excitation for 2-wireor 4 to 20 mA transducers. At thesame time, the 14 V output canpower trodeks’s portable dataacquisition systems for up tothree hours.
An internal switch allows the userto con-figure the OMB-DBK30Aas needed.The OMB-DBK30A has twobattery packs, each with its ownpeak termination charging circuit.The unit features a charge-statusLED that indicates charging andfull-charge status, and also providesa power-out LED that indicatesexternal loading. The unit includesan AC adaptor for recharging.PackagingYou can stack the OMB-DBK30Abeneath an OMB-LOGBOOK orOMB-DAQBOOK-2000 Seriesportable data acquisition module,both of which are available with anoptional screw-in handle.The result is a compact andsecurely connected data acquisitionsystem that you can convenientlycarry from one application site toanother.
