The OMB-DBK7 frequency-inputcard provides OMB-LOGBOOKand OMB-DAQBOARD-2000Series data acquisition systemswith four channels offrequency-measurement capability.Thecard measures the input signal’sfrequency and converts thefrequency to a voltage, whichcan then be measured by thedata acquisition system. TheOMB-DBK7’s output is read by thedata acquisition system along withany other analog channels includedin the analog scan group, allowingeasy correlation of readings fromthe OMB-DBK7 with other testparameters. As many as as sixty-fourOMB-DBK7’s can be connectedto one OMB-LOGBOOK andOMB-DAQBOARD-2000 seriesacquisition system, for a total ofup to 256 channels.

Analog Inputs
The OMB-DBK7 acceptsAC-coupled analog inputs up to80 V p-p. Each of its channels isequipped with a low-pass input filterthat is jumper selectable for 100kHz, 300 Hz, or 30 Hz.The card can accommodate 1 Hz to100 kHz measurement of signalsfrom 50 mV to 80 V p-p.

Digital Inputs
The OMB-DBK7’s digital inputs,which can measure signals from0.001 Hz to 950 kHz, feature TTLSchmitt-trigger levels and can acceptDC-coupled signals from -15 V to+15 V. The OMB-DBK7’s digitalinputs are equipped withpull-up resistors for use with relaysor switches.

Frequency Range
The OMB-DBK7 provides 12-bitresolution at any frequency from1 Hz to 950 kHz.

Update Rates
For ranges from 1 Hz to the user-definedmaximum upper rangeboundary, the voltage conversionupdate will occur every 2 to 4 msor the period of the input frequency,whichever is greater. With a rangeof 0 to 10 kHz, the OMB-DBK7 willupdate every 2 to 4 ms. If the rangeis 0 to 60 Hz, the output will updateevery cycle or 16.6 ms.
