Description
FKM tubing offers superb chemicalresistance to a broad range of materials with theflexibility of rubber. Under static operatingconditions, FKM has been tested at up to260°C (500°F) for up to 1,000 hours, and at upto 204°C (400°F) for up to one year. At thesehigh operating temperatures, fluid pressure mustbe kept at a bare minimum-field testing must beperformed to determine the maximum pressurerating of FKM tubing in your application.In addition, it must be noted that pulsating flowor peristaltic pump applications can causea dramatic decrease in the operatingtemperature/pressure of the tubing, as well asa dramatic decrease in the tubing’s useablelifespan. Again, field testing is required todetermine these parameters in light of the enduser’s particular application.
