Ready-to-use pipe heaters aremade of wire-wound circuitslaminated between thin layersof fiberglass-reinforced, high temperatureinsulation, siliconerubber. Pipe heaters are usedto provide freeze protection andfrozen pipe thawing in a variety ofindoor and outdoor applications.
They are pre-formed in a spiralconfiguration for easy and quickwrapping/unwrapping aroundmetal pipes. The thermostat endsecures to the pipe with Velcro®tape, making installation anddeinstallation/re-use also quickand easy. A built-in, surfacesensing thermostat maintains thetemperature to prevent freezingor condensation along the pipe.The thermostat turns on attemperatures below 4.4°C (40°F)and turns off at 15.5°C (60°F).
Silicone rubber heaters areresistant to temperature extremes,moisture, weathering, radiation,fungus and chemical attack.They also have a high dielectricstrength, flexibility, and provide acost effective heating solution.
