The OM-ESW-105-POE unmanaged industrialEthernet Switch is designed to transmit power, alongwith data, over an Ethernet network and is ideal forPoE capable devices where running an AC power feedis either not possible or cost effective. This featureallows an end user to power a PoE camera, wirelessaccess point, or any other PoE capable device withoutthe need for running separate wires for power. Thisalso allows the ability for a centralized battery backupfor all these devices.Designed to meet the most demanding industrialcommunications requirements by providing highthroughput and minimum downtime while alsoproviding power to PoE capable devices over theEthernet network.

The OM-ESW-105-POE provides five RJ-45 autosensing 10/100 BaseTX ports. All ports are full/half duplex capable, using “state of the art” Ethernetswitching technology. Four of the five RJ-45 ports alsoact as PoE ports allowing power to pass through fourof the eight strands of CAT5 cable. Each PoE portsupports up to 15.4 watts of power. TheOM-ESW-105-POE auto-negotiates the speed andflow control capabilities of the five TX port connections,and configures itself automatically.The OM-ESW-105-POE also supports up to 2000MAC addresses, enabling these products to supportextremely sophisticated and complex networkarchitectures.

The OM-ESW-105-POE automaticallydetects any PoE device that is connected and powersit accordingly. If a PoE fault is detected on a specificport the Auto-disconnect feature disables PoE poweron that port, allowing only data communications topass. This reduces reducing the risk of damagingcostly equipment.This ideal candidate provides data and power towireless LAN access points, network cameras,VoIP, and other PoE capable devices. The productalso helps reduce costs by eliminating the need forelectrical wiring and electrician expenses.

The OM-ESW-105-POE has extended operatingenvironmental specifications to meet the harsh needsof the industrial environment. For cost savings andconvenience it can be DIN-rail mounted alongsideEthernet I/O or other industrial equipment. To increasereliability, this switch provides dual redundant powerinputs. Two power LED’s are also provided on this unitindicating a valid power source on both the redundantpower inputs and also indicating when a power faultbus occurs.
