The CL1201 is designed to providevery accurate and repeatablethermal calibration between 400°Cand 1200°C for a wide variety ofthermocouples and othertemperature sensors in industriessuch as glass manufacture, powergeneration, automotive and materialprocessing. This rugged,economically priced portablethermocouple dry block calibrator issupplied with a NIST traceablecertificate. The unit providesexcellent stabilities to within ±0.1°Cand has display accuracy of betterthan ±3°C between 400 and 1200°C.

The CL1201 block calibrator utilizesa special heater design for optimumtemperature uniformity and rapidheating rates. The heating systemconsists of heater elementsembedded in lightweight vacuum formedceramic fiber moldings whichallows faster heating rates andextends the working life above otherceramic tube designs which haveheater elements wrapped around aceramic tube. An isothermal blockassembly is machined from aspecial alloy giving excellentthermal conductivity and also resistshigh temperature oxidation.

This block is designed to optimizeperformance between sufficientmass for good stability and uniformityand to have a low enough mass tohave rapid heating/cooling rates andshort stabilization periods. RS232communications is standard.
