trodeks’s PCL819 combinesa high performance handheldpressure calibrator with an integralelectric pressure pump in a small,lightweight, handheld unit. Beforethis innovation, users had tomanually generate pressure usingcumbersome manual pumps orlarge, heavy boxes with limitedportability and battery life. ThePCL819 is only slightly larger thanthe PCL340 series and weighsin at a mere 1.2 kg (2.5 lb). Thehousing is easily contoured to fit atechnicians hand with good balancetop to bottom. The internal pumpcan generate vacuum or pressurefrom -12 to 300 psig.The PCL819 has an internalisolated pressure sensor with0.025% of full scale accuracy andcomes in three gauge and twoabsolute pressure ranges. It is alsocompatible with the PCL-PM seriesexternal pressure modules whichcome in ranges from 5 to 5000 psigand also differential, absolute andcompound ranges. A PCL-PMAmodule adaptor is required to useexternal modules.In addition to pressure the unit alsohas an input for Pt100 RTD sensorsfor temperature and can measureand simulate 4 to 20 mA currentloops. The large LCD graphicdisplay can be configured to displayup to 3 variables at the same timeby the user. It provides a numberof convenience features such asswitch testing, percent error, and adamping function. Up to 5 frequentlyused configuration can be storedand retrieved with one button recall.
