Description
The OME-DB-24P is a 24 channelisolated digital input daughter boardfor OME-PIO-D144 digital inputboard. The optically isolated inputsof the OME-DB-24P consist of a bi-directional opto-couples with aresistor for current sensing. You canuse the OME-DB-24P to sense DCsignals from TTL levels up to 24 V.You can also use OME-DB-24P tosense a wide range of AC signals.The OME-DB-24P registers aconstant logic high if the frequencyof the input AC signal is greater orequal to 1 kHz, and if the voltage ofthe AC signal is at least 4 Vrms. Ifyou are using an AC input signal,you must short the AC filter jumper.You can use the board to isolate thecomputer from large common-modevoltages, ground loops and voltagespikes that often occur in industrialenvironments.
