Application
trodeks® Over-the-Side Immersionheaters are specifically designed forheating fluids in tanks. Depending onthe tank shape, size, accessibility andworking area inside the tank, choose around or L shaped heater.Standard sheath materials are Incoloy®800 and steel with all wetted parts madewith compatible alloys.
Construction
Tubular heating elements are weldedinto a liquid-tight junction box. Powerleads for the elements travel up throughthe riser pipe and are connected to aterminal block in a NEMA 4 housing.Unless otherwise specified, heatersare wired for three-phase from thefactory but can easily be convertedto single-phase.
A thermowell for a 9.5 mm (3/8") diameterbulb is standard to accommodate anoptional thermostat. A thermostat canbe field installed to mounting lugslocated in the electrical enclosure.102 mm (4") sludge legs keep theelements off the bottom of the tankand above any deposits that mayaccumulate there.
