Description
The OMG-PCI-DIO series provide32, 48, and 96 channels ofbuffered digital I/O emulating 8255sfor industrial control applications.10K pull up resistors are includedon each port bit. Each boardcontains 8 bit I/O ports configurableas inputs or outputs. This gives theuser the ability to customize thecombination inputs or outputs asneeded. In addition, the low orderbit of the first port can be set togenerate an interrupt for statusmonitoring applications. A specialfactory configurable interruptfeature allows the user to requestconditional I/O combinations forinterrupt generation. When the I/Ocombinations occurs, a hardwareinterrupt is triggered.
Software
The OMG-PCI-DIO includesdrivers, utilities, and programmingsamples for Windows98/ME/NT/2000/XP and Linux toaid in the development of reliableapplications for the OMG-PCI-DIOfamily of digital I/O boards.
Connectors and Terminal Panels
All of the I/O signals are accessedthrough a standard 50-pinconnector. The 32-channelboards contain one connector, the48 channel board contains twoconnectors and the 96-channelboard has four connectors.trodeks provides an optionalOMG-TB07 terminal panel for wiringto the I/O connector. One terminalpanel is required for each I/Oconnector. An OMG-CA167 is alsoneeded for each terminal panel.The I/O connector is alsocompatible with industry standardrelay racks. A OMG-CA135 cablecan be used to connect eachI/O connector to a relay rack.
