Description

FFB51 and FFB52 industrialfluidized baths are our mostpopular units due to theireconomical price and smallersize. They offer a front panelmounted rotameter for adjustmentof the fluidizing air flow andare ready for use out of thebox with the included chargeof aluminum oxide. For years, plastic manufacturershave come to depend on industrialfluidized baths (FFB series) forsafe, efficient and cost effectivecleaning of tooling, components, systems and parts (i.e. dies, breaker plates, nozzles, tools, tips, spinnerets, extruder screws, manifolds, etc.) The FFB Serieswill remove almost all polymers, including plastic, paint, epoxy, rubber and adhesives, as well asother hydrocarbon-based productssuch as oils, fluids, grease, lubricants and coatings.Parts immersed into the FFBseries are cleaned by the hightemperature (up to 600°C)environment within a bath mediaof fluidized aluminum oxide thatinstantly starts to degrade plasticto carbon, which then leaves thebath as CO2. This instant heatingand minimized quenching givesshorter cleaning times than withconventional ovens, and with theeven and consistent heat of thebath, results in greatly reducedmetal fatigue and tool damage.trodeks baths can be fluidizedwith either compressed house airor an inert gas such as nitrogenor argon. It should be noted thatfluidized baths and the actioncreated in the aluminum oxide arenot abrasive to items immersedfor normal cleaning or heat treatmenttimes. Typical cleaning timesrange from 30 minutes to 2 hoursdepending on bath loading, temperature and amount ofmaterial to be cleaned. The excellent thermalperformances the FFB seriesmake them a good choicefor basic heat treatment, testand calibration as well asreactive analysis.
