The HH520 is a 4 channelhandheld data logger/thermometerthat accepts Types J, K, T andE thermocouples. Measurementsettings and results are shownon the backlit LCD display. Datacan be stored in the data loggerand then downloaded to thecomputer or directly saved onthe computer through the USBinterface in real time. With theexclusive software, recording/recalling of data and programmingof logging parameters can bedone directly through a PC.There is a save dialog window inthe software where the data filename and file type to save can beselected. There are three types offile format that can be selected:binary file (*.ghf), text file(*.txt)and Excel® format file (*.csv). The.txt file format can be openedby the HH520 software and anyother word processor program likeMicrosoft® Word or Notepad. The.csv file format can be opened bythe HH520 software and also byMicrosoft Excel.

The *.ghf file uses much less disk space tosave the data than the other two file formats,but it can only be used in the HH520software.
