Description

The CY670 Series silicon diodesoffer a more accurate reading oftemperature ranges compared topreviously marketed silicone diodes.Conforming to the curve CY670standard voltage vs. temperatureresponse curve, sensors within theCY670 Series are interchangeable,and for many applications they donot require individual calibration.CY670 Series sensors in the SDpackage are available in 5 tolerancebands–3 for general cryogenic useacross the 1.4 to 500 K temperaturerange, and 1 that offers superioraccuracy for applications from 30 Kto room temperature. The CY670Series sensors also come in a tolerance band (E), whichis available only as a baredie. For applicationsrequiring greater accuracy,CY670-SD diodes areavailable with calibrationacross the full 1.4 to 500 Ktemperature range.
The CY670E bare die sensorprovides the smallest physical sizeand fastest thermal response timeof any silicon diode on the markettoday. This is an importantadvantage for applications wheresize and thermal response time arecritical, including focal plane arraysand high temperaturesuperconducting filters for cellularcommunication.
