Description

The DPF9300 digital inputpanel meter offer many featuresand performance capabilities tosuit a wide range of industrialapplications. The DPF9300 offers bothcounting and rate in the samepackage. Theoptional plug in output cards allowthe opportunity to configure themeter for present applications, while providing easy upgrades forfuture needs. The meters employa bright 14 mm (0.56") LED display. The intensity of the red LED displaycan be adjusted from dark roomapplications up to sunlight readable, making it ideal for viewing in brightlight applications. The metersaccept digital inputs from a varietyof sources including switchcontacts, outputs from CMOS orTTL circuits, magnetic pickups and all standard RLC sensors. Themeter can accept directional, unidirectionalor quadrature signalssimultaneously. The maximum inputsignal varies up to 34 KHzdepending on the count modeand function configurationsprogrammed. Each input signalcan be independently scaled tovarious process values. The ratemeters provide a MAX and MINreading memory with programmablecapture time. The capture time isused to prevent detection of falsemax or min readings which mayoccur during start-up or unusualprocess events. The meters havefour set point outputs, implementedon plug-in option cards. The plug-incards provide dual FORM-C relays(5A), quad FORM-A (3A), or eitherquad sinking or quad sourcing opencollector logic outputs. The set pointalarms can be configured to suita variety of control and alarmrequirements. Communication andBus capabilities are also availableas option car through the bus.Additionally, the meters have afeature that allows a remotecomputer to directly control theoutputs of the meter.

With an RS232 or RS485card installed, it is possible toconfigure the meter using .The configuration data can besaved to a file for later recall. Alinear DC output signal is availableas a plug in option card. The cardprovides either 20 mA or 10Vsignals. The output can be scaledindependent of the input range andcan track any of the counter or ratedisplays.

Once the meters have been initiallyconfigured, the parameter list maybe locked out from furthermodification in its entirety or onlythe set point values can be madeaccessible. The meters have beenspecifically designed for harshindustrial environments. WithNEMA 4X(IP65) sealed bezel andextensive testing of noise effectsto CE requirements, the meterprovides a tough yet reliableapplication solution.

Response Time: 6 msec. typical; function dependent. Certain resets, stores and inhibits respond within 25 ?sec if an edge occurs with the associated counter or within 6 msec if no count edge occurs with the associated counter. These functions include CtrStL, CtrStE, HLrStL, HLrStE, INHlbt, StOrE, and PrNsSt. Once activated, all functions are latched for 50 msec min. to 100 msec max. After that period, another edge/level may be recognized

DUAL COUNT MODES When any dual count mode is used, then User Inputs 1 and/or 2 will accept the second signal of each signal pair. The user inputs do not have the Logic/Mag, High/Low Freq, and Sink/Source input setup switches. The user inputs are inherently a logic input with no low frequency filtering. Any mechanical contacts used for these inputs in a dual count mode must be debounced externally. The user input may only be selected for sink/source by the User Jumper placement.
