Sensor Features
Sensor housings are constructed of PEEK,a high performance thermoplastic that providesoutstanding mechanical strength and chemicalresistance. Multiple sealing materials are usedto preserve sensor integrity over a wide rangeof applications.

A large volume, dual junction saltbridge is usedto maximize the in-service time of the sensor.The annular junction provides a large surfacearea to minimize the chance of fouling. Largeelectrolyte volume and dual reference junctionminimizes contamination of the referencesolution. The replaceable saltbridge allows foreasy sensor regeneration.

The reference element of this sensoris a second pH electrode immersed ina reference buffer solution. This glassreference system allows the sensorto be used in applications that poisonconventional pH sensors.

An integral preamplifier is encapsulatedin the body of the sensor. This creates a lowimpedance signal output which ensures stablereadings in harsh environments, and maximizethe distance between sensor and transmitter.Sensor diagnostics are used to alarm the userin the event of electrode breakage, lossof sensor seal integrity, or integraltemperature sensor failure.

Sensor electrodes can be user-specifiedto ensure measurement reliability andmaximum sensor lifetime. The type of glassused in the pH electrode can be selected foroptimal performance. The metal electrodeused for ORP measurements can be platinumor gold, depending on chemical makeupof the process solution.

Transmitter Features
The microprocessor-basedtransmitter is loop-powered andfully isolated for high servicereliability. The transmitter includesdevices to protect the system frompower surge and brownout events.

The large, high contrast, super-twistdisplay provides excellent readabilityover a wide operating temperaturerange, even in low light conditions.The main display line consistsof large, segmented characters withmeasurement units. The secondarydisplay line utilizes easily readabledot matrix characters for clear displayof calibration and diagnostic messages.Two of four measured parametersmay be displayed simultaneously.

Four-button programming providesintuitive navigation through the menudriven user interface. The 4 to 20 mAtransmitter output can be configuredto represent any portion ofthe measurement range.Output HOLD, ALARM andSIMULATION features providethe user with complete controlof the system output under anycondition.

Diagnostic messages providea clear description of systemcondition, which eliminatesconfusing error codes that must belooked up in the operator’s manual.

The flexible two-point and samplecalibration options include auto-bufferrecognition from thirteen built-in buffertables. Manual override of the automaticbuffer values allows the user tocustomize calibration values. To ensurehigh accuracy, all calibration methodsinclude stability monitors that checktemperature and main parameterstability before accepting data.
