DOCN601 Series Dissolved Oxygenanalyzers/controllers are a ruggedand dependable industrial grademicroprocessor-based instrumentsthat is extremely easy to use.
Its large, bright LED digital display is clearlyvisible even in direct sunlight. It’s speedycalibration and simple operator interfacemakes this analyzer/controller a favoritewith instrumentation departments in a widevariety of demanding industrial andmunicipal applications. Frequently usedfunctions are accessed through an intuitivestep-through menu which is printed directlyon the front panel for ease of navigation.By pressing the MENU key the operatorscrolls through the menu, illuminating anLED beside the selected item anddisplaying the stored value. Arrow keys areused to change the value. Seldom used orset-once adjustments, such as passwordactivation are located on DIP switches onthe back of the swing-out front panel.
The DOCN600 Series accepts asensor input from the DOE-601 sensor.The DOE-601 sensor consists of a probethat is fitted with a DOE-601-SC cartridge containing a precisely stretched permeable membrane, electrodes and electrolyte. The inexpensive and easy to change cartridge takes only minutes to replace. The cartridge ishermetically sealed. Optional mounting hardware includes submersion and “ball float” assemblies.
Calibration can be accomplished by usingone of seven different calibrationtechniques: in the process to a portablemeter; in clean water to a portable meter;in a process sample to a lab meter; in aclean water sample to a lab meter; in asaturated process; in saturated clean waterand in air. To Calibrate, press the MENUkey until the CALIBRATION LEDilluminates. Use the arrow keys to set thevalue determined using a calibrationmethod described above. Press The Enterkey twice. The unit is now calibrated.
The DOCN600 Series provide three analogoutputs, including a 4 to 20 mA, 0 to 5 Vdcand 0 to 1 mA. The instrument alsoprovides control of external devices usingits two independent control relays. Analarm relay has both high and low setpointswith a fixed deadband. When this relay isenergized, the Alarm LED on the front panelalso illuminates to clearly indicate an alarmcondition. Factory set for bidirectionalcontrol, both control relays can be set tocontrol either a rising or falling process,with easily programmed Relay On andRelay Off setpoints.
A self-diagnostics program clearly indicatesany system errors or faults by turning theSTATUS LED on the front panel from greento red. The operator then scrolls through themenu to STATUS to determine the faultcode. The Operator’s Manual indicates thesource and likely remedy for the fault. Whenthe status fault is corrected the STATUSLED will turn back to green.
DOCN600 Series is packaged in a ruggedNEMA 4X fiberglass reinforced polyesterenclosure. It is ideally suited for heavy-dutyoutdoor applications such as municipal andindustrial wastewater.
