The trodeks® LVTX-10 Seriessensors are low profile designedultrasonic transmitter modulesoptimized to provide continuousmeasurement of fluids, pastes,or uneven solid bulk materialsin constrained working zones.Incorporating state-of-the-artdual-sensor ultrasonic technologyand processing algorithms,all LVTX-10 sensors provideaccurate measurement for factoryautomation, warehouse materialscontrol, pipe and conveyor beltblockage, or tank level applicationswith non-uniform surfaces.
LVTX-10 sensors include anadvanced diagnostic featurethat will retrieve the ultrasonicwaveform for analysis, anddisplay it on any computer to aidusers with debugging complexinstallations. For solid materials,surface unevenness is unlikely toaffect maximum ranging capability.An integrated mounting platewith pre-formed holes is providedfor easy installation. All modelsare equipped with continuoustemperature compensation toensure precise speed of soundcalibration and measurementaccuracy. Other friendly usefeatures include diagnostic andmonitoring outputs, protectionfrom over voltage, short circuits,and reverse polarity. Operatingfrom 12 to 24 Vdc, all trodeksLVTX-10 sensors provide a linearoutput of either 0 to 10 Vdc or4 to 20 mA, that are proportionalto the measured distance to thetarget. The output range is readilyprogrammable to accommodatea wide variety of set-up andapplication conditions. In addition,this output voltage can be set tooperate as a digital switch withinzones defined by specified targetset-point distances, enhancingthe sensor’s flexibility for use innon-routine applications. Themeasurement parameters andoutputs are programmed using acommon standard RS485 data linkto ensure set-up uniformity.Compatible with MicrosoftWindows® operating systemsusing a USB/RS485 or RS232/RS485 converter, up to 32sensors can be connected inparallel onto the same multidropcommunication networkusing the supplied protocol. Thisnetwork also enables users toremotely program their sensorsand read target distances forquick integration into controlapplications. All LVTX-10 sensorsare adjustable for sampling rate,averaging measurement, analogoutput slope, loss-of-echo timeout,set-point hysteresis (digitalswitch mode) and provide asoftware sensor transmit trigger.
